I’m a dancer, improviser and choreographer based in Amsterdam. I was born in Italy where I had the chance to study Nikolais method and improvisation with different artists like Simona Bucci, Alessandro Certini, Charlotte Zerbey, Roberto Castello and Giorgio Rossi. I lived in London where I studied at Trinity Laban, here I had the chance to challenge with different techniques like Graham, Cunningham, Release and Laban notation.

I’m an anthropologist, my research is deeply rooted in this field. I did experiments on improvisation to study the audience-performer connection, my research was published by the University of Siena with the title of “Improvvisazione in danza come spazio liminale”, were I was also invited to give a lecture for the course of Cognitive Anthropology and Arts Representations.

As an improviser I was invited by Company Blu to participate to Fusioni Impro Festival in 2010 and 2012, where I perfomed with Julyen Hamilton, Alessandro Certini, Charlotte Zerbey, Massimiliano Barachini,  Elena Giannotti and many other artists. I presented my work “Limen”, a study about poetry and dance, for “Shopwalk” Festival also by Company Blu. I created the installation and video performance “Mooroom”.
